Prof. Natesh Pillai is a Professor of Statistics at Harvard University. He did his undergraduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and obtained his Ph.D. from Duke University. His interests lie in Data Sciences, Bayesian computation, applications of machine learning in climate science, applied probability, and stochastic models. He won the young researcher award given by the International Indian Statistical Association in 2018 and was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics in 2021 for outstanding contributions to probability and statistics. He is also on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, SIAM Journal on Mathematics of Data Science and Harvard Data Science Review. He has worked in a wide range of industries. He was an Amazon Scholar from May 2021-June 2023.
