SIU Prize was first announced in early 2023 with the fields of Computer Science and Health Sciences.
The first season Health Sciences will start from January 2025.
SIX (6) STAGES IN THE FIRST SEASON OF SIU PRIZE HEALTH SCIENCES
- March 2025 – April 2026 – Announcement of the SIU Prize Health Sciences and call for nominations.
- For organizations (Government agencies, diplomatic missions, overseas Vietnamese organizations, overseas Vietnamese student associations, universities, hospitals/medical centers, academies, research institutes/centers, science associations/networks, corporations and enterprises, innovation incubators, etc.) or Individuals (Professors, scientists, experts working in the areas of expertise related to the fields of the SIU Prize) directly making nominations via the SIU Prize website: Organizations/Individuals are required to complete the nomination process. The nominee (Candidate) is required to complete the application process and submit all required documents by April 30, 2026 using the online nomination form available at www.siuprize.org.
- For organizations (Government agencies, diplomatic missions, overseas Vietnamese organizations, overseas Vietnamese student associations, universities, hospitals/medical centers, academies, research institutes/centers, science associations/networks, corporations and enterprises, innovation incubators, etc.) or Individuals (Professors, scientists, experts working in the areas of expertise related to the fields of the SIU Prize) making nominations via reference letters: Candidate is required to submit the letter via the SIU Prize website, complete the application process and submit all required documents by April 30, 2026.
- May 1, 2026 – Closure of the nomination period.
- May to August 2026 – The SIU Prize Preliminary Council and the SIU Prize Professional Committee review and select the most outstanding doctoral theses.
- September to October 2026 – The SIU Prize Professional Council reviews and selects the best doctoral theses for the awards.
- November 2026 – Official announcement of the SIU Prize Health Sciences award recipients.
- January 2027 – SIU Prize Health Sciences Award Ceremony & International Conference SIU Shaping Futures.
The first season Computer Science will open for nomination from September 2023.

- For organizations (diplomatic missions, overseas Vietnamese organizations, overseas Vietnamese student associations, universities, research institutes/centers, science and technology academies, science associations/networks, corporations and enterprises, innovation incubators, etc.) or individuals (Professors, scientists working in areas of expertise related to the fields of the SIU Prize) directly making nominations via the SIU Prize website: Organizations/Individuals are required to complete the nomination process. The nominee (Candidate) is required to complete the application process and submit all required documents by June 1, 2024 using the online nomination form available at.

- June 1, 2024 – Closure of the nomination period.
