SIU Prize officially accepts nominations for the field of Computer Science

Managed by the Saigon International University (SIU) and sponsored by the Group of Asian International Education (GAIE), SIU Prize is a biennial award established with the goal of honoring young Vietnamese and Vietnamese-descent talents around the world, with priority for the two fields: Health Sciences and Computer Science.

Specifically, the SIU Prize carries a monetary award for recipients with exemplary doctoral theses successfully defended within the last 5 years prior to the deadline of the nomination process, based on the conferral date of the doctoral degree. These works are capable of making great contributions to human development, towards a better life. The event is also an opportunity for experts, researchers, professors, and students from around the world to share experience and knowledge, generating new values for the community together.

SIU Prize Computer Science honors groundbreaking technological research, products, and applications.

According to the Organizing Committee, from September 2023 to June 1, 2024, educational institutions (universities, institutes, academies, etc.), organizations (embassies, Vietnamese organizations and student associations abroad, businesses specializing in technology and creativity, etc.), as well as respected individuals (professors, scientists working in areas related to Computer Science, etc.) interested in the award may complete the nomination process, submitting full documentation to SIU Prize:

• For organizations (diplomatic missions, overseas Vietnamese organizations, overseas Vietnamese student associations, universities, research institutes/centers, science and technology academies, science associations/networks, corporations and enterprises, innovation incubators, etc.) or individuals (Professors, scientists working in areas of expertise related to the fields of the SIU Prize) directly making nominations via the SIU Prize website: Organizations/Individuals are required to complete the nomination process. The nominee (Candidate) is required to complete the application process and submit all required documents by June 1, 2024 using the online nomination form available at www.siuprize.org.
• For organizations (diplomatic missions, overseas Vietnamese organizations, overseas Vietnamese student associations, universities, research institutes/centers, science and technology academies, science associations/networks, corporations and enterprises, innovation incubators, etc.) or individuals (Professors, scientists working in areas of expertise related to the fields of the SIU Prize) making nominations via letter of recommendation: The nominee (Candidate) is required to submit the letter via the SIU Prize website, complete the application process and submit all required documents by June 1, 2024.

From June to July 2024, the subcommittees of SIU Prize Committee proceed to select the best theses to be submitted to SIU Prize Council.

From August to September 2024, the SIU Prize Council evaluates and decides on the winning theses.

At the end of September 2024, the list of SIU Prize Computer Science winners will be published.

The SIU Prize Award Ceremony incorporating the International Conference will take place in Vietnam in November 2024.

The members of the SIU Prize Committee and SIU Prize Council include leading national and international professors, scientists, and experts in the relevant fields. Thanks to their impartial and professional judgments, the innovative, creative, practical theses shall be celebrated and guaranteed to generate values for not only Vietnam’s, but also global science and society.
