Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy is one of the pioneering scientists to research and teach artificial intelligence in Vietnam. He has published over 9 books and textbooks, more than 150 applied research papers (including more than 45 articles published in international journals and conference proceedings).

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Thuy is also the “Chief Architect” in the development of the National Strategy on Research, Development and Application of Artificial Intelligence to 2030. He is the former Vice Rector of the University of Engineering & Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and is currently the Vice President of the National Science and Technology Key Program: “Support for Research, Development and Application of Industry 4.0 Technology”; Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (University of Engineering & Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Chairman of the Council of Professors in Information Technology (IT). After more than 30 years of researching and teaching in the field of artificial intelligence, Prof. Dr. Thuy has made great contributions to the development of information technology and artificial intelligence in Vietnam.
